Repairs are at your own risk
The guides here are general information for owners who do their own maintenance. You decide whether a job is within your skill, and you are responsible for the work you do. If you are unsure, take the machine to a dealer.
Your owner's manual comes first
Makers change parts and specs between production runs. Before ordering a part or tightening a bolt, check the number against the parts list or manual for your exact model, type and serial number. If your manual and this site disagree, follow your manual.
Safety rules that apply to every page
- Pull the wire off the spark plug before touching a blade or working under the deck.
- Work on gasoline outdoors, on a cold engine, away from sparks and flames.
- Never run an engine indoors or in a closed garage. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide.
- Do not disable or bypass blade controls, brakes or other safety devices, and do not adjust the governor.
No warranty
We work to keep the information accurate, but we can't guarantee it is complete or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage, injury or loss from using it. Doing your own work may affect your machine's warranty; check the maker's terms.
Trademarks
Brand and model names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the equipment a page applies to. This site is not connected to or approved by any maker.
